Kush’s approach to therapy is to emphasise individuality and tailored interventions for each client. He achieves this by listening carefully and having a keen analysis of the client’s presenting challenges. He utilises evidence-based treatments and work in collaboration with his client’s needs, vision and meaning to achieve their goals. He is passionate about working with both adolescents and adults from any cultural background or sexual orientation.
Kush holds specific interests in Motivational Interviewing, Schema therapy, ACT and Narrative Therapy. He is skilled in Psychological Assessment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling. He has experience working with forensic clients with presentations ranging from moderate anxiety and depression to severe symptoms such as self-harming, suicidal ideation, delusions, and hallucinations.
Kush completed his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Macquarie University and his Master of Professional Psychology at Western Sydney University. He is currently a provisional psychologist and working towards full registration as a psychologist.
