Mary Joy (MJ) Basilio is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) degree and from Western Sydney University where she completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology.

MJ’s non-judgemental, empathic and compassionate nature allows her to easily connect with a diverse range of clients and focuses on building strong and trusting relationships. She loves working with children and her fun and playful nature allows children to develop rapport with her quickly.

MJ’s areas of focus when working with children and adults include:

MJ also has experience in implementing a range of psychological and cognitive assessments to help identify a child’s learning, adaptive behaviour and educational needs.

MJ uses a variety of evidenced-based interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy and Applied Behaviour Analysis.

MJ works with the client’s individual needs and helps them to identify and remove obstacles in their lives so that they are living their life to the fullest. MJ is available on Mondays and Saturdays.
