Kirrawee

Sam is a provisional psychologist with a deep commitment to helping people grow, perform, and reconnect with a sense of meaning in their lives. His therapeutic approach is grounded in self-compassion, honest self-reflection, and a belief that every individual has the capacity to thrive when understood as a whole person—not just as a set of symptoms or roles.

Drawing from a long history in elite sport, including high-level basketball and years spent coaching athletes in skill acquisition and mindset, Sam brings a rare dual perspective to his work. Sam is trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and integrates mindfulness, meditation, as well as elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and existential psychology

Sam provides support for individuals experiencing adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, stress, sleep irregularities, and general mental health and well-being. He has worked with clients across the lifespan and welcomes people of all identities, expressions, and orientations. His practice is grounded in genuineness, respect, and the belief that therapy is a collaborative partnership built on trust and courage.

Sam has a Graduate Diploma of Psychology from Monash University, an Advanced Graduate Diploma of Psychology from Deakin University, and a Master of Professional Psychology from the University of New England.

Sam supports clients from our Sutherland Shire practice.
