I take a warm, collaborative, and developmentally informed approach to working with children, adolescents, and their families. I believe that children do best when they feel safe, understood, and supported within the context of their relationships, and I work closely with families to help strengthen these foundations.

My work is grounded in evidence-based therapies and tailored to each child’s unique needs, strengths, and developmental stage. I draw on approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), attachment-informed practice, emotion regulation strategies, and trauma-informed care. With younger children, sessions often include play-based and creative methods to help them express thoughts and feelings in ways that feel natural and engaging. With adolescents, I focus on building insight, emotional awareness, coping skills, and confidence, while respecting their growing independence as a teenager.

I am also trained in the Cool Kids program, a structured, evidence-based cognitive behavioural intervention for children and adolescents experiencing anxiety. I integrate Cool Kids principles into therapy, supporting children and their families to understand anxiety, develop coping skills, gradually face fears, and build confidence over time.

I see parents and caregivers as essential partners in the therapeutic process. involve families to help them better understand their child’s emotional world, strengthen communication, and develop practical strategies to support regulation and behaviour at home when appropriate. I aim to create a space where families feel heard, supported, and empowered, rather than blamed or judged.

I commonly support children and families experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural challenges, low mood, adjustment to life changes, and the impact of stress or trauma. I place strong emphasis on building emotional literacy, resilience, and secure relationships.

Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where children and families can work together toward meaningful and lasting change.
